Show Business Illustrated
had it premiere issue published on September 5, 1961. Conceived as a magazine to become the "national authority and guide to entertainment, arts and culture," A mere 12 issues later, the magazine ceased publication (April 1962). It was "merged" with "Show" magazine in 1962.
Some issues have become highly valued collector items due primarily to the ads and scarcity. Seems to me this magazine was a bit ahead of its time.
